He is the serpent Ananta (nāga). He is the cause of new rains (navāmbha). He is a tumultuous sound (viruda), the killer of heroic warriors (vīrahā), the giver of benedictions (varada), powerful (balī), the Lord who follows the path of the cows (go-patha), victorious (vijayī), wise (vidvān), effulgent (śipiviṣṭa), and eternal (sanātana).

He is the creator (vidhi and vidhātā). He is the controller of Varuṇa (varuṇa), the descendent of Varuṇa (vāruṇa), and the beloved of Vāruṇī (vāruṇī-priya).

He is an ocean of mercy (karuṇā-nidhi). His voice is like thunder (kolāhala). He is Balarāma, the holder of the plow (halī and hālī). He rebukes His enemeies (helī). He is dear to Lord Balarāma (haladhara-priya).

sadā me manasy āvirāstāṁ kim anyaiḥ

"O Lord Dāmodara, although You are able to give all kinds of benedictions, I do not pray to You for the boon of impersonal liberation, nor for the highest liberation of eternal life in Vaikuṇṭha, nor for any other, similar boon. O Lord, I simply wish that this form of Yours as baby Gopāla in Vṛndāvana may ever be manifest in my heart, for what is the use to me of any other boon besides this?"
